Toasty Brie & Prosciutto Crostini with Pepper Jelly and Hot Honey

Okay so if there is one thing about me, I love a good charcuterie board! I feel like this appetizer has all of my favorite things about a charcuterie. It's savory and sweet! It's crispy and indulgent! It is the perfect appetizer + this Toasty Brie & Prosciutto Crostini with Pepper Jelly and Hot Honey is SO easy to make. It'll be the perfect appetizer to make for Thanksgiving. Such a crowd pleaser and so so simple.

Ingredient List

  • 1 French loaf, sliced thin

  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

  • 4–6 slices prosciutto

  • Brie cheese (about 4 oz), sliced

  • 2–3 tablespoons pepper jelly

  • Drizzle of hot honey (or regular honey)

  • Fresh thyme, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prep the bread: Slice the French loaf into thin slices and place them on a baking sheet. Brush the tops with about 2 tablespoons of melted butter.

  2. Toast: Bake at 400°F for about 5 minutes, until lightly golden and crisp around the edges.

  3. Crisp the prosciutto: In a small pan, fry the prosciutto until crispy. Set aside.

  4. Assemble: Top each toasted bread slice with crispy prosciutto and a piece of brie.

  5. Melt the brie: Return the crostini to the oven at 400°F for another 5 minutes, until the brie is soft and melty.

  6. Finish: Top each piece with a small spoonful of pepper jelly and drizzle with hot honey (regular honey works too).

  7. Garnish: Add fresh thyme leaves over the top and serve warm.

  1. Prep the bread Preheat the oven to 400°F. Arrange the bread slices on a baking sheet and brush the tops with melted butter.
  2. Toast Bake for 5 minutes, until the bread is lightly golden and crisp.
  3. Crisp the prosciutto While the bread toasts, cook the prosciutto in a skillet over medium heat until crisp. Transfer it to a plate.
  4. Assemble Top each toasted bread slice with crispy prosciutto and a piece of brie.
  5. Melt the brie Return the crostini to the oven for about 5 minutes, until the brie is soft and melty.
  6. Finish Top each crostini with a small spoonful of pepper jelly and a drizzle of hot honey or regular honey.
  7. Garnish and serve Sprinkle with fresh thyme and serve warm.

Storage

Store leftover crostini in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat in a 350°F oven until warmed through and crisp.

Make Ahead

Slice the bread and crisp the prosciutto up to 1 day ahead. Assemble and bake the crostini just before serving.
